Advanced Search Benefits
Grouping: You can GROUP one or more columns to compartmentalize information. Simply drag a column label – to a grouping position, and the information is immediately “redisplayed” in a grouping format.
Sorting: All columns in detail reports can be sorted as required in either ascending or descending order.
Re-ordering the columns in the display: All columns in detail reports can be repositioned, or even hidden from the report. You can easily add or remove columns to detail reports to show exactly the information you need to see.
Filtering: There are two types of filtering – basic and advanced. You can do basic filtering – such as searching for a value. Just start typing in the filter box for that column and as soon as you stop typing – it will show the “Loading” message. You don’t have to hit enter.
Advanced Filtering: Look for the “key” next to each filter box. These are for advanced filtering. You can choose options such as
Begins with (which is the default) - if you are looking for “Cherry Hill Road” under the Street Name – you can just type “Cherr” (or whatever
Contains – same example above but type in “hill” – and you will get all roads with the word “hill”
Doesn’t contain – type in “cherry” and you will get all roads except “Cherry Hill Road”
Ends with – type in “road” and you will get all roads
Equals – for an exact match
Doesn’t equal – everything except your typed in value
Exporting: Once you have filtered, sorted and grouped the way you want to see your information – click on any of the Export Type buttons to send the results to PDF, XLS (old excel version), XLSX (new excel version), RTF (word) or CSV (text – comma separated and can be shared with other applications that need a comma separated text file
